* WHAT IS BRAIN ?
- Our brain manage hundreds data per second.
- Brain transmit the data about 250 km per hour, through trillion cell.
- Each neuron connects with on average 40,000 synapses.
- All brain cells are not alike. There are as many as 10,000 specific types of neurons in the brain.
- Only 5 minutes without oxygen can cause brain damage.
- The typical brain is about 2% of a body’s weight but uses 20% of its total energy and oxygen intake.
- The capacity of right brain is 100 times larger than left brain.
* MEMORY . .
Human memory system consist of three that are sensory memory (SM), short term memory (STM) and long term memory (LTM).
* SHORT TERM MEMORY . .
Process that allows information to be stored within 30 seconds up to 24hours because limited load limit.
* LONG TERM MEMORY . .
Information in the long term and permanent but depends on the force's ability to recall from memory storage.
MEMORY STRATEGIES :
- Give our brain a workout.
- Don't skip the physical exercise.
- Get on a regular sleep schedule.
- Make time for friends.
- Keep stress in check.
- Have a laugh.
- Take practical steps to support learning and memory.
STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE CONCENTRATION :
- Use motivational and organizational strategies – create interest in the work, develop your own positive attitude, use goal setting as a one of your best strategies, use time-management strategies to make sure your time can be managing wisely.
- Create a positive learning environment – find a better place to study, avoid multitasking, minimize distractions from the others.
- Deal with internal distractions – solve own personal problems, deal with competing activities with the other students.
- Do not use the passive learning strategies (as discussed in improving memory).
- Match your learning style to the task.
- Monitor your concentration.

SURVEY - review the text to gain initial meaning from the
headings, bolded text, and charts.
QUESTION - begin to generate questions about their reading from previewing it.
READ - to get information, we need to read. Then, we can look for answers to the questions that have been create, it helps we focus in learning.
RECITE - create a short notes or try to remember, remember and memorize important content and summarize according to paragraph.
REVIEW - after reading, students should review the text to answer lingering questions and recite the questions they previously answered.
